چکیده
In order to optimize the screw-press extraction conditions of oil from goldenberry (Physalis peruviana L.) seeds obtained nectar processing waste, a face centered design was applied. The extracted at different temperatures (60, 80, and 100°C) seed moisture contents (8, 10, 12%). Oil recovery (OR) increased residual in cake decreased significantly as content temperature were reduced; volatile matter well acid value, K232, K268, p-anisidine, respectively, proportionally with extraction. Thus, highest OR (86.4%) best quality 8% 60°C pressing temperature. Under these conditions, presented high linoleic (76.0%), iodine value (140.0 mg I2/g), refractive index (1.4769). stability index, measured by Rancimat, varied 3.65 h (120°C) 14.87 (100°C); predicted shelf life 25°C 120.4 days activation energy 85.6 kJ/mol. results highlighted that screw-pressing provides without employing polluting hazardous solvents.

Extraction of Fenugreek (Trigonella foenum-graceum L.) Seed Oil Using Subcritical Butane: Characterization and Process Optimization.
In this study, the subcritical butane extraction process of fenugreek seed oil was optimized using response surface methodology with a Box-Behnken design. The optimum conditions for extracted oil from fenugreek seed was as follows: extraction temperature of 43.24 °C , extraction time of 32.80 min, and particle size of 0.26 mm. No significant differences were found between the experimental and p...
متن کاملA new withanolide glycoside from physalis peruviana
A new withanolide glycoside, 17beta-hydroxy-14, 20-epoxy-1-oxo-[22R]-3beta-[O-beta-D-glucopyranosyl]-witha-5, 24-dienolide (1), has been isolated from the whole plant of Physalis peruviana. Its identity was determined using a combination of spectroscopic data including 2D NMR techniques and chemical transformations.
متن کاملFlavor and Oxidative Stability of Northern-Grown Sunflower Seed Oil
Flavor and oxidative stabilities of a northerngrown sunflower seed oil were investigated. Taste panel and oxidative evaluations were made on alkalirefined, deodorized, unbleached samples treated with commercial antioxidant mixtures, phenolic antioxidants, metal scavengers and added trace metals. Similar evaluations were conducted on a sample of the same oil after bleaching. Commercial antioxida...
متن کاملComparative Characterization of the Leaf Tissue of Physalis alkekengi and Physalis peruviana Using RNA-seq and Metabolite Profiling
The genus Physalis in the Solanaceae family contains several species of benefit to humans. Examples include P. alkekengi (Chinese-lantern plant, hôzuki in Japanese) used for medicinal and for decorative purposes, and P. peruviana, also known as Cape gooseberry, which bears an edible, vitamin-rich fruit. Members of the Physalis genus are a valuable resource for phytochemicals needed for the deve...
متن کاملExtraction, Characterization and Modification of Castor Seed Oil
This paper carried out experimental study, through extraction and characterization of both crude and refined castor oil. Normal hexane was used as solvent for the extraction process. The oil produced was refined through degumming, neutralization and bleaching process using local adsorbent (activated clay). The characterization analysis revealed that tested parameters, which include specific gra...
